Whats the difference between these titanium eclipse's. Are they both the same?
If I had my camera I would post a picture of my 9122 right now and you would laugh. The surround is being held together with several layers of 2 different kinds of adhesive. If you do a search on this forum you will see that this problem is fairly common. I already had a to buy a new top assembly for my my 9122 once from TC (when there was a TC). Now that they are impossible to get in touch with and since my surround has ripped twice I'm just waitng until I can afford a new sub. Point is this sub isn't being made anymore and thats a good thing, unless you already have I would recommend not buying it.
To add to rant, its a finnicky driver that never lived up to my expectations. Not to say it sounded bad, it just never sounded as good as I thought it should. Sealed box=very little output, ported=more output but not as much sq. There is no way to prove it, so you will have to take my word for it that I hooked it up properly and didn't clip or overdrive it, I babied it especially after the first time it broke. And it broke again, exactly the same way it did the first time. There are a lot of good subs out there don't buy this one.
threadjack...my bad
pm me a price for the woofer. or jhust the top assy if tahts all yuo want to get rid of. ill take the other one if you still have it tooI could show you the spec sheet that came with my sub (again if I had my camera with me right now) but its really a small box woofer. qtc of .707 in about .7 ft^3 if I remember right. 1.6 ported was not too small, and it sounded a lot better at 1.1 tuned to 30 or so.
Doesn't matter I feel bad about taking this thread where I did anyways. I don't think the size of the box would have anything to do with the surround ripping on mine or anyone elses ti, and I know I'm not the only one who has had this problem. Something about the foam that breaks down under some condition I haven't isolated yet. But they aren't making them anymore and the chances of acquiring a recone seem slim and I've made my peace with that, the old one made a cool ashtray this one will too.
I already sold you my last one a couple years ago remember? I washed the ash off first....I'll sell it to you for sure after I get a replacement sub, the glue is suprisingly holding up for the moment. New mag should be out soon though...pm me a price for the woofer. or jhust the top assy if tahts all yuo want to get rid of. ill take the other one if you still have it too
you should try 1.6-2.0 at 30-32 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifI could show you the spec sheet that came with my sub (again if I had my camera with me right now) but its really a small box woofer. qtc of .707 in about .7 ft^3 if I remember right. 1.6 ported was not too small, and it sounded a lot better at 1.1 tuned to 30 or so.
