I've never bought a H/U before and need/want a new one, My old Pioneer (2 volt) is going out. It won't eject. What I do like about the pioneer is a lot of sub stage controls and pause as I would say I use my system 80% for competing 20% for listening.
I can get the Eclipse for $300 on payments installed from a local shop.

My problem with eclipse is no pause button and lack of sub controls it only has a + or - 6 sub setting. The 5 volt pre-outs aren't no biggie either as I use a bass enhancer that works as a line driver. A friend said the Eclipse would still make a nice spl deck though.
