I've been running this deck since it was new in 2009. One thing I've never been able to get right is the gain on my sub amp. It's a rockford fosgate amp and according to the specs the highest voltage is 4v. My deck is supposed to be 5v.

What I am wanting to know is when does the deck put out 5 volts? Do I need to have the sub level on the deck all the way up for this to happen? The reason I'm asking is because I have my front speakers on another fosgate amp (4 channel bridged to 2). I have it's gain set to the min. My subs are quite a bit quieter than the speakers. I find that I have to turn the sub gain up a touch (maybe 10%-105%).

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
