I found a listing for the Eclipse Avn2454 for $1,000 complete with 2-year warranty card. This kinda sounds too good to be true...what do you think?

ask yourself, if he really has 5, and got them for christmas(assuming they were free), why npt put them on ebay and make enen more money....thats always my reasoning to save my arse.

Well, I asked the seller two questions in an e-mail:

(1) Your listing states that you have 5 of these for sale. I was wondering that, since you have 5, I could get one that is NIB (New In Box). The one in your listing has a pretty beat-up looking box.
(2) I would be willing tp purchase one if I can pay via PayPal or a similar form of tender that would allow for me to insure the purchase.

I am not going to point out [to him] the fact that has has FIVE for Christmas...let's see how far he will take this. I am anxious to see what his reply will be.

Seems a tad shady to me. Would you be able to get the number off of a warranty card and check it with Eclipse?

The two year Extended warranty Only applies IF it was bought and installed by an Eclipse dealer. The card will do you absolutely no good. Aside from that like you even said who gets 5 of the same thing for Christmas??? Especially something of higher value like that, were not talking about socks here...

At that price who knows where they came from, but def not from Eclipse. They havent reduced prices THAT much yet.

haha, yeah seriously. UPDATE: Close to a full working week with no word from the guy yet. After researching this more, (a) I have found that I'd rather have the Kenwood DDX7015 and (b) I still want to hear what this guy has to say, if anything, purley for entertainment purposes.

What made you decide on Kenwood Vs Eclipse??? Ya could always wait a few more weeks for the AVN5435 or AVN5495. Since your in NJ Im sure I can help you out on these.
