anyone have any experience with them? are they any good? i've been reading alot on thier reviews and they seems to be pretty good.. i'm debating between soundstream or eclipse amps... im buying all eclipse speakers so im thinking why not go with the whole package.. what do you think?

I use to sell the Eclipse brand of audio...I really like their stuff, but I felt that it was a little overpriced for what you got...we also sold PPI, and it seemed that the PPI amps would always do more with less $$$. Soundstream are also really good products. Once you get over the cheap stuff, most companies are rather close, and it really boils down to features and real estate.

The eclipse stuff is somewhat overpriced but it does look good. I personally have to go towards the fosgate line myself. Very strong amps and just as strong subs. I had a pair of HX2 subs that pounded over 149Db's for almost 3 years. That is well worth the money.

RF is definately not in the same league as Eclipse, I'm sorry to say. RF is all about SPL, but Eclipse is really all about SQ. I have the Eclipse 33250 powering my front comps, and it's a wonderful amp. Lots of headroom, and a very solid crossover.

BTW, IASCA pro 301-6, that is one badass system in your sig. Got any pics of it all?

yes i know eclipse are a lil overprice but i can get them the same price as the soundstream amp, XXX subs, cheaper than infinity kappa perfect components. but i just want to know how are they compare to others, good or bad?... tell me if this is a good buy...

Eclipse SW9122(new model of Ti's)- $319 each shipped

compare to XXX($335), IDMAX ($300), brahma ($369)

Eclipse SC8362 6½ component-$199 shipped

Eclipse SC8352 5¼ component-$185 shipped

compare to perfects($225-250), CDT HD($225-250), Focals 165K2($250-$325)

Eclipse amp DA7122 (2000W)-$479 shipped

compare to Soundstream pic1.1400d/1.1700d($419/$509 + shipping)

Eclipse amp PA5422 (85x4)- $255 shipped

compare to Soundstream pic4.640 ($235 shipped)

i really want to get soundstream amps cuz i know they're good, but since im getting all eclipse why not stay with the whole package, you know... and since they're the same price..

iascapro, do you know the spec on the eclipseDA7122, if you know, i emailed the tech to see how it would handle two eclipse subs, they haven't respond. i don't want to go over 750 RMS on each, thats why..

1225...those prices seem fine. I would expect that if you are purchasing those all at once, you should be able to get about 10% off the total sale price. I don't have the specs anywhere for that, but I think you should be fine, just don't drive it to really low ohms and you'll be fine.

88...I use to have a website dedicated to the car and the system, but the car has been retired and I let the website go. I'll see if I can dig them up somewhere...

I am currently running an Eclipse 3640 (60x4). It has done very well..Clean SQ, and a clean look. It also has the best on-board crossovers i have ever used...Good amp.
