i am currently running this setup eclipse 9152ti on Eclipse DA7232, its in a 4.5 cu ft box vented and souns awsome, i am thinking about getting a different sub, i would like a 12" that sounds comparable if not better then the 15", what are some subs that you all think is comparable to this ti woofer?

and if you think i should keep it, does anyone have a killer box design for this sub? my box is working really good, i just know i can always do better,

heres my first attemp

the vent is aimed back and the sub is up-- i know this isnt the best design, but its the only way i could build a box the would be able to be taken in and out of the car,

if i built it in the trunk i could get some more air space and aim the sub back with the vent- from experiance sounds better-- the box doesn't seem beefy enough for the sub, i think it is breaking

opinions?- should i try a different box and see what happends? its hitting around 145db @ 40hz now and would like to be in the 150 area but still maintain sound quality, which i have done before with a 12" (got stolen

I believe the Ti's work better in smaller ported enclosures, around 2.5-3^3ft comes to mind, but it has been a while since Ive been in the game and cant remember, sorry.

Free bump for someone who is sure.

i called eclipse, and talked to a tech, this is where i got my info from, the reason the put such small recomended box sizes is a selling point. woofers like these do perform better in bigger box's, you should hear mine right now in the 4 cu foot box, it is insane, and im not exagerating, but i know i can get more out of it, plus the box is breaking, so i got to build a new one anyways,

the guy told me that the optimum enclosure for the 9152 ti is a 4.75 vented box

Well it has been proven that the Eclipse Techs do not know JACK SHIT. I have a Ti myself (look at the avi and the sig) but I believe they perform better in smaller enclosures. I have known many people, including one who was VERY kool with STP and they all prefer smaller enclosures.
