I know I know another Vs question but this one is slightly different.

They seem to have pretty similar features and same features when it comes to maximum and nominla RMS.

So which one would you go with ?

And colud you use the both in dual box?

I gotta tell you, I have the 88120DVC and it is A MONTER. Got it in a slot ported box and have had it for like 4 years now and it still hits HARD and CLEAN (even though I'm not sure if the box is even ideal). Can't speak for the newer model, but I love my 88120. I would be hard to be convinced that the newer model is any better, however. Might as well go for the one you can get for less (88120; older model) if you are getting same quality.

I found your thread through yahoo cuz I am looking for another 88120dvc. I have a 1st gen Orion 250 hcca. amp, 1ohm stable per Orion, but 1/2 ohm stable through many, many, posts by other car audio enthusiasts. The amp is ready made to push two of these things. It's amazing, a 10+ year old amp and it doesn't even get warm, nonetheless, hot. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. Old Orion amps, old MTX amps, old Phoenix Gold amps, etc. Back on subject: Go for the 88120dvc, you will not be disappointed!
