Eclipse 8812.6 Recone?

Picked up an 8812.6 yesterday locally and it's in pretty decent shape for it's age. The surround appears to be "wavy" and the spider is pretty soft. Is that normal for these? Has anyone reconed one and if so how'd that go?

The surround is santoprene so it tends to retain the shape of any extended contact with something, like if it was laid on it's face on an uneven surface. Should recover, though. Spiders were not stiff by any means on these drivers, which is partly why they are so musical. I would just let gravity have it's way in the other direction and let it recover. Then put it to use.
