eclipse 8455 pro mode - non-fader level?

well there's two ways to control the sub:

1) is through the bass knob which goes from -6 to +6.

2) in the T/A menu you can control the sub L and sub r but you can only attenuate from 0db to -30db.

much appreciated man. I tired the Bass level...and put it to -6. I'll have to try your other method. Just got this deck.....last setup was a 7002 with an audiocontrol three.1.......and on the three.1....I could turn the sub completely off..... I miss that...LOL....but I guess I'll have to get used to it.

Wouldn't adjusting the bass affect the whole system though? Why must Eclipse force me to love Pro Mode and hate Pro Mode ??? Why??
no. i believe the bass is connected to the non fader and hence will only affect the sub. hence in pro mode you have bass (sub), mid (mids), and treble (highs).

Whaaaat? Wait, on the 8455 if you push the source button while in Pro Mode and come to "bass" and adjust it up or down you are NOT adjusting the "bass" output on the entire signal, just the bass (sub)????

i can't confirm the technical details but i was under the assumption its like that. cuz when i turn up the bass through the source button the sub got louder and nothing else.

I was wondering the same thing...I'm about to go outside and unplug my sub amp rca's, and then adjust the Bass level, and see what happens......will let ya know what I come up with.

great but to me it wouldn't make any logical sense to turn up the bass and have affect the entire signal. i mean why would the bass be effecting the highs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

ok, results are in........I unhooked the sub amp....and adjusted Bass level from -6 to +6 and back......it does effect the mids.....so not really a viable solution to adjusting sub level.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Either I am high on PCP or I don't understand what he hell is going on here. You mean to tell me that when you adjust the "bass" in general, it doesn't affect the bass of the entire system??? When I want to boost the bass in my system in Pro Mode I either adjust the appropriate band in the EQ or I go into the T/A menu and adjust the db level of the sub/low output.

The last thing I want is for my mids to bottom out (which are already playing down to 63hz @ 12db/oct) by adding more "bass"!!
