Eclipse 8443 ESN question

anyone know how to enable the esn key cd on a eclipse 8443? I just sold my unit to a friend and he really wants to do this, I never got the manual when i got this since it was out of a show car. Can someone scan the page of the manual, or tell me how so i can pass it along? Can i buy someone's CD8443 manual? Thanks in advance.

Got my 9835, sirius tuner, ipod adapter and Amp link and this thing ROCKS!!!

How to program CD-

1- make sure power is off

2- Press and hold button [6], then the [FUNC] button- hold both for 1 sec

A [sEC] MESSAGE APPEARS, THEN IN 2 SECS it will change to [DISC]

The front panel opens: its ready to receive your key CD

3- Insert Key CD

Front panel closes

A [sEC] message appears, front panel opens, and KEY CD is ejected

My ESN just kicked in for no reason...

Screen now reads "SECURITY FFFFFFFFFFF" it sucks.

I know this is a semi-old thread, but my ESN is doing the same thing. It will accept my key CD, and it will actually play any CD, but the screen says Security FFFFFFFF and none of the controls work. I can only change the track, but no volume or sound controls. Anyone ever figure out how to fix this?

Hi....I was having this same problem with the F's on the screen. It still won't recognize my key cd and now it only displays my esn number on the screen. When i hodl func +6 it brings up a 6 digit code but it won't let me change it with the radio presets. i've done this process over the phone with eclipse but they are closed over weekend.

i started having these problems because i changed my car battery but every so often the car would not start and i had to unplug then plug the negative lead to restart the system. at first it accepted my key cd but all of a sudden it didn't recognize it.

i don't know what is going on.....PLEASE HELP

turns out the FFFFF's on the screen means HU is locked out and displays f's when serial # should be displayed. Just reset pinhole to get serial # and then have to call eclipse to get HU unlocked.
