Eclipse 7200 MKII, display blinks when headlights on

Just like the title says, when the headlights are on, the screen blinks back and forth between dimmed mode and standard brightness. With the headlights off, it stays bright as it should. The blinking is random, but continuous (no pattern that I can tell). Anyone hear of this or have any ideas? Also, for anyone familiar with this HU, is there a way to just turn the dimming function off (short of pulling the HU out and cutting the Illumination wire)?? Thanks.

its a wiring issue. did you wire the head unit up yourself or did you have it professionally installed?

Go through the menu and look for an auto dim feature.. Or you could always RTFM
