eclipse 55090 worth $100.00 without remote?

i can get it for 100 but ive heard that it needs the remote to play DVD's....is this true? ive done some searching and cant find much info on this at all....and what type of remote do i need?

ya i sold mine bout lil over a month ago need the big remote and screens to watch/play dvds
