Eclipse 12" TI VS (2) Alpine Type X 10"

hey there guys,

i'm in the process of gettting some sub for my truck, i'm debating between (1) 12" Eclipse Ti or (2) Alpine 10" type X , sub will be powered by a JL 1000/1 so, i'm not sure which one to get, I'm looking for nice and tight bass NOT booming bass. Let me know which one is best for me. thanks guys

well, my last option would be (2) 10W7 what do you guys think ?? thanks

What exactly are you asking?

Type X's need 1000 watts EACH to get going and can take a bit more.

yeah, if ur gonna run 2 type x's, i'd suggest gettin' another 1000/1. otherwise i'd just go with the eclipse

Type X's are sexxxxxy subs, but they do need more than 500w. The Eclipse TI's are quite sexy, too. And in this situation, I'd go with the Eclipse because of the power issue.

well, if the Type X are Dual 4, so, If I run 2 of them wouldnt that bring it back to a 4 ohm load in the end, and since the JL is 1000/1. is that reasonalbe amount of power ?? B/C I like the tightness of the 10", thanks guys

Well if it helps, I hit 139 on music with only one of my TIs working.
