Yes. All you need to do is put in a switch, thats all your parking brake does is ground when you push it.

Take the green wire from the deck and wire it to one side of a on/off toggle switch, then, wire the other side to a ground. That is all you need to do. I have done several of these at the shop.

The JVC's just need to be grounded, id highly recomend the switch in case a cop pulls you over and your playing a video (which is illegal) and all you have to do is flip the switch to put it into its normal "Parking brake must be in to watch movies" thang.

My jensen was a wierd duck too. It didn't work by just grounding the wire. What I had to do was this:

Find a good ground under the dash

Run a wire from the ground to a toggle switch

Run the park brake wire from the head unit to the switch

Mount the switch somewhere convenient

When the dvd player is on but no image, flip the switch on for a couple seconds, off for a couple seconds and back on. Bam! movie plays.

I know jensen requires the on/off/on "pulse" sequence, but other brands just need to be flipped from off to on.

Wow, with all of CA's knowledge I cant believe no one knows this.

Ok guys, time to bust out a 30amp relay. Yes I know you guys are all running and hiding because you dont know how to use a relay, so heres a diagram.

Your radio turns on, remote wire gets power, THEN it grounds the parking brake, making your radio think you just put the parking brake on.

No switches, all behind the dash, works 100% of the time.

Damn..... my lil bro has almost the exact same HU..... all we did was ground the wire... everything works fine.... these don't need the pulse sequence or anything like that.... just ground the wire behind the deck.........

I have a flip-out in one car and a double din in another and there both different. Flip-out I grounded it then had to insert a code (That you can get via interent) the other I had to use a switch which is no biggie becuase if your like me you already have some on stand-by any how.
