Hi, im pretty new to this forum but i have always been viewing many discussions in it.

I have a question, sorry i have no pictures at the moment.

I just bought a Kicker L7 used from ebay with a sealed enclosure.

I decided i should remove the subwoofer from the box.

To my suprise I see both the negative tinsel wires have been snapped and reconnected to the negative wire going to the AMP. Is this correct? I had to rewire the subwoofer to + - + and - -- - to work for my mono amp.

The subwoofer pounds but I hear a bit of popping. i think its my gain and free air. Any ideas on this subject. Thanks

$100 i spent. So as for my question to the tinsel wires that snapped.. they connected the negative tinsel wire directly to the negative wire towards the amp.
