ebay scam gone wrong?

to be honest, i've talked to 3 people from ebay, and 2 from paypal, all 5 combined made little to no sense individually and each said different thing...im confused, i just don't want to be confused for the bad guy here or charged any $$$...i e-mailed all of the people who i received $$$ from to let them know...just in case ebay got lackadaisical on the issue...

well i didnt sell it that fast, and not on ebay, it took me over a week to sell it, and it was sold locally...but the price is WAY low compared to what i was asking...looks like 2 of them went for $375 + shipping and 2 others went for $299 + shipping...something like that, so they were obviously better "deals" than mine at $600

keep the $$ in your paypal account untill the peeps whos money it is contact you, then give it to them, but be careful cos the scammer may pretend to be the rightful person and then you send them the $$ and they win and you owe moniez?

yea im not doing anything until instructed with an email confirmation...i think that paypal is going to automatically remove the funds and re-distribute them to the correct parties, at least that is what i think i heard...what a fiasco

WOW! I would take all that money out of paypal instantly. Its paypals issue to get the money back to the people, not yours. That moneys in your account and its yours. The could have some bs in the TOS though so who knows.

yea at first it wasnt clear that they did or did not, and i later found out that they did...at least we guess...

if anyone cares....it seems as thought with the exception of 1 individual it , everyone has gotten all their money back...oddly i still have all the funds in my account, not sure why they haven't drained it yet...i figure if its still there in a week its mine...

paypal's customer service and resolution reps are highly inept...i've been through a scam once, lost over 5 grand on a plasma last year and they were useless then...luckily these people seem to have been taken care of promptly...

i received some hate mail from 2 of them, they thought that i was involved in the deal, but thankfully ebay informed them that i was just as much a victim as them...

man dealing with this kind of stuff makes me hate paypal and ebay even more...id stop using paypal altogether but there are no convenient alternatives and money orders are so timely...
