Easy jobs to get

Oh **** just realized we live in the same city. haha
jdawg, you could always "get rid" of your competition. If you're the only one applying, you'll probably get the job.

But really, have you thought about any kind of reserve military branch? You work like one weekend a month, and get paid for that weekend. On top of it, you get all your classes paid for free, and any job you apply for will think much higher of you. Just throwing it out there, I know it's not for everybody.

How old are you if you are old enough I'm sure you could get a job laboring for a roofing, cement, general construction, company. Even if you have to drive for it you can make good $ doing it. Good luck hope times get better.

Are looking for a temp job for the summer or a flexible hour job that you can go to school with? Check out your local car dealers (places with a mechanics shop.) They hire people to push a broom and shuffle cars around. The dealer I worked for paid those guys around $10/hr in 05. This was Fort Worth, TX. The job title a car porter. I know one guy that started out doing that moved up to oil changer and then was a straight commission tech. Just a though. Most dealers work 7am-5 or 6pm 6 days a week. They have several hired that trade weekends. Does your tech school not have an internship program? Mine did. If you couldn't get hired on with dealer you got booted from the class. The school did help you out but if total f'ed your interviews or got fired from a couple it was a problem. I will want a pretty clean driving record.

Apply to be a car salesman. The racket they do in TX is the dealer requires a quota every month. Say 9 cars/mo with 1 warning. You get your first months salary garrenteed. It pays pretty well. Then they set them free. So the poor sales men get the first check free. blow their warning. don't make quota the second month while living on the small check from what ever they did sell and the upfront money. Then get fired and go on the next dealer. 2 months of secure employment. And you have time to know that you are about to get fired so you already have apps out with other dealers. I was a tech in the shop. At the first of every month, there was the new salesman tour and they most of them you never saw again.

With retail experience you could get a full time in Western OK in a heartbeat. I guess my part of the world is one of the few places that isn't hit by the economy. Before they upped minimium wage McDonald's was paying $10/hr because they can't get workers. They are threatening to close the supercenter walmart because they can't get people to work here. If somebody wants to work they are making $50k+. Gotta love the oil field.

Work at home tech support. $10/hr limited medical free Direct TV.

I got on easy, you just need a quiet environment. Which I don't have, during the phone interview the store to the right to me was using a dump truck and gassing it and stopping it slamming heavy *** dump door. In front of me some city workers where using a Ditch Witch to lay pipe for a new building.

Eh, I think what got me in was that I ******* CAPITALIZED THE FIRST ******* LETTER IN MY SENTENCE during the online presentation/phone interview.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I just made a manpower profile and applied at mcdonalds so hopefully that will bring me something. I'm looking for any work, temp or long term. The problem I've found with most trades is they always want someone with expierience. Can't do anything driving because my record is fucked.
