when you guys upgrade your big 3, and you upgrade bat. positive to alternator, do you guys usually put a protector over the connection on the alt. such as a rubber boot, or something that covers it up from touching something else. or is it pretty safe with out it. cuz where it connects to my alt, its pretty close to another metal bar. so do you think i should put a cover over it or no?

It definetly would not hurt to put a protector over it if possible, my stock cable had a protector onit so I thought it be nice to put one on the bigger wire too, however i ended up not doing this and never encountered a problem.

Cliff Notes: It wouldnt hurt to do so.

yeah i know, i just took it out, put on the 1/0, put on the boot, and put the alt back on. at first i was wondering how the hell i was gonna be able to do it, and then im like, **** im gonna have to take the alt off. and it was really easy. but yeah i put a boot on it, just to make sure, and its all done now.

i didnt say it was the easiest alt to take out, i said it was the easiest big 3 question of your life. lol, i just wanted to know how many people used something to protect there alt positive wire. but get some pics up
