Earth Quake PH2000 D1.1

well 35 hz should be perfect to tune it at..it will get low enough and still stay musical..what size sub is it? for a 12" 3 cubes @ 35 hz would be fine..i currently run my sx @ 35 hz and it gets so low i cant even hear it ..just the car shakes..and it gets real loud..those L7's have the capablilty to get loud in the right enclosure and 1000+ watts

not dumping on you by any means but is it good to get soo low you cant hear it??

youll be fine. ignore the **** who like to come on here and make themselves feel better by bashing people new to the hobby. welcome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

given the retardedly minimal amount of t/s parameters from kicker, the new L7's optimal sealed box is 2.4 cubic feet.

give a decent rolloff

the vented box i got was ridiculously huge.. 4.87 cubic feet tuned to 26 hz. kicker needs to give out more t/s paraters other than qtc, znom, fs and power handling

1ft X 1ft X 1ft = 1ft^3 = One cubic foot = measurement of volume = Length X Width X Height of a box = (1/2)(Length X Width X Height) of a triangular prism. Turn your box into rectangles and triangles to find the volume, if it's not a perfect cube. 2.5-3ft^3 should be the EXACT inside volume of your enclosure.

Here's a quick example I made up in mspaint:

box.jpg

Divide the enclosure into a triangle and a rectangle, if you have to. The box volume (Area B) is (2ft X 2ft X 0.5ft) and the triangle volume (Area A) is (0.5ft X (0.5ft X 2ft X 2ft)). If you add them together, (Area A + Area B), it equals 3ft^3, or 3 cubic feet. Remember, thats supposed to be the INSIDE volume, and not the outside volume...so take material thickness into account. Convert to centimeters or meters or whatever units you use in dubai. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif That is all the geometry I'll be teaching for this month.
