RCA plug broke, some is left in the jack...What to do?

Hey,

One of the RCA inputs for my AMP broke off, the pin in the middle broke and most of it is still stuck in the RCA jack on the amp. I would just cut the wire and replace the head but the pin from the old one is still in the jack blocking the way...

Any ideas how I could get the broken pin out?

I don't know if this would work but would a magnet pull it out??

Try pulling it out with tweezers? This might work if it's sticking out a bit or almost at the tip, but if it's deep in the plug then I really don't know. Never heard of this one happening before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

tell me when you figure it out because it happened to my tv video jack (blows), luckily i can also use the s vid cable. but still cant play my old school game systems or watch a dvd unless its off my laptop through the s-video.

Try tapping it on a hard surface to get it to come out enough to get at it with some needle nose pliers.

i had the same exact thing happen....just didn't use that channel anymore....was for comps. idk try even taking the amp cover off see if you can get inside and push it out..orrr possibly the bit thing..but ever soo slightly. then possibly pull peices out with a needle.
