The crack was there when I bought it.... I got it from a friend of mine. The motor detached from the basket and f'd the sub up. Recone time.

He had it in his rex.... obviously in a CRX style box. it's the second time it's happened. if you look in my other thread, you will see that the motor was held on by nothing more than epoxy... when he got it fixed the first time, whoever fixed it at RE just poured epoxy in the holes and shoved the screws in.

Hence this screw with nothing but epoxy in the threads:

I'll tell you how the crack occured. The hatch prop i was using slipped out and fell right on the top of the sub. Shortly after that, i went and replaced the hatch supports.

I was pissed. But luckily the crack was just in the dust cover, and didn't go through the cone.
