The car was a blast. The noise of the turbo and BOV were so cool. It was like my project learner car. Had 4 exhaust values break and a bud and I did all the work. DSM owners tend to be very nice and there were tons of forums and groups back when I had mine.

if the car has only 30,XXX miles, for that price it is a very good deal. they are very nice cars to have, even if its non-turbo. I myself have a 98 eclipse, which is pretty much the same car except different body, and I think it is a very good car. Just try and take it for a test drive and pay attention to everything. If there is a serious problem, you will be able to tell even if you dont know much about cars. Some good sites to find out a lot of info on these cars....

$3400 is way too much for that car. If it only has 31k miles which is 99% unlikely, its worth $2800 blue book. With 131k miles its worth exactly 2 grand. Keep in mind its ten years old, and has no turbo. I wouldnt pay over eighteen hundred for it.

yeah but a almost 10 year old car with 31k miles is very low. Now that is pretty unlikely like you said and also if it only has that much, it probably sat undriven for most of its life.

I'd say definitely take it for a test drive and if anything at all doesnt feel right(and it does have 131k miles)... dont buy it. There are plenty second gen(95-99) non turbo eclipses and talons that can be found for relatively cheap but probably better condition than the one you are looking at.

Yeah unless the guys drops the price to under 2K I'm not going to get it. It is just to much money for me to dish out for a car that is known to cost a lot of money to maintain....owell. my buddy just bought a talon w/the turbo and awd and he loves it. he is not the best at shifting tho so i dont think hes getting the full potential of the car yet...he actually traded in his 99 eclipse for it(with a 6 cyl.)he said the talon is faster...
