EA Games Tech Support Is A Joke (Chat Log Inside)

Heres the problem im having. I bought another copy of battlefield 1942 to use on my LAN so we could play on a few computers online. Turns out the CD key that came with it says invalid when you try to join a server, so i basically requested a new one. Todd is a ******* moron.

2378631121: I did some research when i first started having this problem, and alot of people say its because so many cd key generators have been made, alot of peoples CD keys are being stolen

2378631121: I build computers and do tech support for a living, i know better. Plenty of people still host servers for 1942. I paid for the game and i need a working CD key so i can play it.

2378631121: you start up the game, go to multiplayer, pick a server and go

Dude, its crazy how the guy didnt know how to help me so he just blew me off with some response like "your game is too old". If i were the supervisor, that assfuck would lose his job. WTF is that?

tl;dr... but Im sure I agree with you that the support mechanism is a joke. Most companies seem to only want to take your money, and then consider keeping you happy 'after the sale' as a cost to their profits that needs to be minimized. Good luck with your problem.
