e15k ROCKS ported!

I was looking for more bass without adding another

sub or more power.

I had a 2.0cu ft sealed box and thought I

would see how a ported box would sound.

This was the first ported box I have ever made.

I made it 3.5cu ft. tuned@ 33Hz

I was totally surprised with how much louder it

was. WOW! And the quality of sound was still good.

It sounds as loud as my last setup with 2 15's in a

sealed box!

The only downfall is that I now have so many small

rattles that I didn't have before. Shakes my truck hard.

I was always skeptical of ported boxes and their

sound quality. But after making one and trying it out

I will definently go ported from now on! It really takes full

advantage of a subwoofers capabilities.

That saying, "It's all in the install" definently rings true!

BTW I might be getting my hands on a

PPI A600.2 to push my e15k.

That's TWICE the amount of power I'm running now!

Thanks for all the nice words guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I TOTALLY agree! I was having trouble with my ported setup and wasn't happy. I re-did all my wiring and my problems are solved. It is SOOO loud i have to readjust my amp for daily driving. I have 2 12" k's w/ 2.5cubes each@34 hz. pics posted soon, i just took them. peace
