dynamic power rating?

what does that mean my amp say the Dynamic power Rating is 2700? what exaly is that?
the only power handling you need to look at is RMS... the rest is junk... except I've seen "music program" ratings which is daily driver power handling while the other RMS rating are for burping if I understand it correctly

I know MTX uses that wording on there amps. The Dynamic power is how many watts the amp puts out at your max voltage 14.4volts. Which like the others said you should just ignore unless you upgrading you electrical system. alt, battery etc.etc...

Its all marketing. My understand is that dynamic is sort of the peak it can put out in real world, while others use peak power ratings that can only be reproduced in a lab using BS conditions that never take place in a car.

I woudl say its safe compare dynamic output within brands (so compare Orion vs. Orion) but that is about it. Everything else stick CEA vs. CEA and/or RMS vs. RMS (at the same voltage).
