If you use a couple gallons of the spectrum or spectrum sludge, you will not need as much sq ft of the mats. But you can get a shop pack or two of the Damplifier Pro. Its comparable to Dynamat Extreme but it sticks better and is lower cost because it doesnt have the name Dynamat.

The Spectrum is the best thing you can do. Especially for a large area you can spray it on.

Hey

Thanks Ed...Spectrum will probably the best /cost effective and easy to use on the floor panels....I think I will use Damplifier Pro for the rest of the truck - roof , hatch and doors..

Both are linked in my post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just a note on using liquids and mats together. Liquid alone is going to be less effective than mat alone, in most applications. Liquids also need to be applied as thickly as mats to approach the same results. This means several coats to achieve a thickness of 1 - mm, with drying time between each coat.

If you use both - I have and it works very well - you want to apply the liquid on top of the mat. The liquid will reinforce the constraining layer for enhanced damping. The liquid will also stick to the aluminum foil better than the mat will stick to the relatively porous cured liquid. If you have a good reason to do mat on top of liquid, don't even think about putting down over less than fully cured liquid which takes up to 30 days. Otherwise you are trapping moisture between the mat and the substrate.
