Dynamat

Just installed system in 2003 Explorer and need to install some Dynamat to reduce the all of the thumping noices. (lic. plate & rear door mainly) The problem is that everyone sells the set up for cars, but no one give my any suggestions for SUV's. Help! I'm not trying to buy more than I need, so I didn't know if there was possibly a kit for SUV's.

you should get the dynamat xtreme bulk pack. i installed it in my eclipse and it was enough to cover my doors, trunk, and rear speakers. it is also a lot easier to install than the original dynamat. all you have to do is stick it on and it will stay.

Forget the "kits". Start with one bulk pack and see what you think. I highly recommend doing the doors first. Once you're done, and you love the results, you can go buy a few more bulk packs and cover the rest of your truck. It's addicting, and worth it.

lol at the kits. Like they said buy the bulk pack, and if u have any left over (which u really shouldn't) u can always double layer, or even triple layer some places. Might want to look into other alternatives bsides Dynamat tho. http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com

Call Rick at Raammat and tell him what vehicle you have and what you want to accomplish. He will set you up with exactly what you need, and give you a great price. He did that for me when I was doing my truck. Told me what I would need and how to do it. He's a great guy and very helpful. Good Luck.

quick question that really doesn't deserve its own thread on dynamat. I know this reduces vibrations due to systems with a good hit, but does this also reduce outside noise coming in? i.e. engine noise, road noise, tire noise etc

Actually the Dynamat trunk kit is a better deal than the bulk kit. They both have the same size sheets and you get more for the money in the tunk kit. Get the extreme though.
