Dynamat question

I am installing my first system and was told that Dynamat xtreme would be a good inventment to install in my trunk and what not. I want to get it done, but was wondering if it is worth it to pay 50 bucks to get a shop to install it or is it an easy install and not worth spending 50 bucks? Another question on this subject is: Should i just dynamat the trunk since my sub is going to be mounted in the trunk or should i go all out and dynamat the whole car? I am rolling in a 2004 honda civic DX

I am going to do it for sure and i think probably just the trunk only though, I just ordered the trunk kit from Best buy since i had a bunch of Best buy Gift cards, it should be here in a few days, but i am going to install it when it comes and this weekend i am gonna get my sub/speakers/amps installed. Is there a noticeable difference between the trunk being dynamat'ed and not being dynamat'ed?

or you could do that :p umm i have yet to "sound proof" my trunk but im sure it will give you some noticeable diffrene and cut down on the annoying bottle rattle that you will get with trunk installs.

lol once you get your system put in you will find out quick that your plate will be the most noisey out of it all.....i just did it the free and gghetto way and stuck a sock behinde it ;-P

Unless you are going to be competing in IASCA or major sound offs, sound quality competitions, I wouldn't do the entire car. It'll just end up costing you at the gas pump due to all of the extra weight. I would just Dynamat the trunk of your vehicle. I believe Dynamat claims that by using their products, you can increase your Db's(decibels) by 3 Db's. They have many products, like sprays and stuff. And yes, you might be able to hear your license plate rattling like crazy when your bumping your system, and it's really annoying. Like Breakdalaw mentioned, for the meantime, you could just put a sock or small towel behind your license plate. I've seen kits for license plate rattling, I'm not sure if it's by Dynamat though, check out their website.

its ok. I'll go with dynamat, its a brand that is well known so i figure i shouldn't have any problems. But at my local car audio shop ( mom and pop shop) they had a dynamat license plate kit, only big enough for the plate. i think im gonna pick it up when my dynamat trunk kit arrives and install it all at once.
