Been looking at some DVD HU that do not have a screen, since i will mbe using an external up in my map pocket. The 9861 looks very tempting, but not sure on the EQ tweaking of it.
Went to look at the 7996, but i do not think it plays DVD+/-R's, correct?
The only other one I have found is the Blaupunkt Long Beach DVD35 seen here (

My question is how much does the EQ features and stuff on a HU really matter? I mean as long as the Pre-out voltage is a decent number, why would it matter? I was always told that the X-overs and EQ on the AMPs are always much better to use. On my current 9813 i keep the defeat on, so the MX and other EQ are not even activated, should I be doing it differently?
