well, I saw that nobody had really posted about this in a while, and since the 13Av2 is officially out, I figured I would post pics

I have yet to hook this woofer up, so I am not giving a review.

I am just bringing it back up because it is released and since their was so much going on with the whole "copy of the W7 thing"

I figured sooner or later someone would post pics.....

hopefully someone can give an unbiased:wow: review of this woofer soon. I wish my car was running or I would give my opinion.

I am not backing up eD at all.

I bought this woofer because it seemed like a good deal:greedy: I am also not here to start a thread fight:furious:.

I thought maybe some people would want to see some good pics of the Final release and maybe talk about the design and what they think of it.

In all honesty i have no quarrel with Ed either, mainly because i have never dealt with them or there products... But i would like a review on this sub and maybe a vid, though hated and very contraversial, from the build it looks like it would be worthy of a test.

As far as build quality.....all I can say is HEAVY

this thing is hard as hell to move around, it weighs close to 56lbs my back kinda hurts "bend at the knees Curtis:laugh:"

The treated foam surround seems very strong, and the basket is VERY solid.

compared to my Ov2 that I had, the basket seems ALOT more sturdy. That Ov2 seems like it would bend if I really wanted it to "not that I did of course"

man, If I had a box that it would fit in I would hook it up for sure

One of my buddies has a 06 Impala that I helped him put a L7 15 and Hifonics 1500 in and he was wanting me to let him try it out in there.

If I didn't have work and school and the weather wasn't 25degrees:crying:

I would probably be in my stepfathers garage cutting some mdf up

It seems as though most of the people that have them already stay close to the Icix forum and don't really post on here much. Maybe someone will make their way over here and say what they think of it. As far as I know, nobody has a final version hooked up yet.......

IgnoreMe......I definitely do not think it is the best looking cone. I personally like a plain smooth cone. It really isn't bad in person though. I do think that they should have had the eD painted in the middle instead of having the little baby dustcap

the whole "cone" you are referring to, is, in fact, a dust cap. that isnt the cone. that said.. the glue joints look horrid. enjoy the sub!
