Dual Voice Coil Sub, What amp mono or 2channel?

I have had 2 aw1200q audiobahn subs for the past 3 years and i have been pushing them with a hifonics 2 channel amp. I couldn't believe how loud they were but after the 3 years my amp started to go into protect. Now i just want one sub and i'm getting a new amp, should i go with a mono amp or 2 channel?? Thanks for the help..

Go with a mono subwoofer amp. They are more efficient and give you more wiring options than bridging a 2 channel amp to the sub.
