Dual voice coil or single voice coil...is there any difference in sound?

Just wondering. I see that the Alpine Type S and R's come with Dual voice coils.

Will a single sub speaker with dvc sound different than one with a svc?

No. Dual voice coil just gives you more wiring options. I recommend that you get DVC.
