Dual stock alts?

I was thinking about possibly just adding a second stock alternator to the stock alternator already in my car. I could create a custom bracket. Is there anything I need to take into consideration before I can even think of adding a second alt? Do I just run the outputs to the batt and thats it or do I need to do other upgrades as well?

would be a little weird.

you could end up spending more on the new stock alt and custom bracket for the purchase of just getting an HO alt.

i don't know though.. what car do you drive?

The main reason I was thinking dual stock is for the idle output, I would have a kinetic in the back as well.

is ur engine the same as in a 93 buick lesabre? if so i'd like to see where ur mounting that other alt. a dual setup imo would be better.

Not sure but If i were to add a second alt id proly either use the spot for the a/c condenser/pully since it doesnt work anyway, or custom bracket the bish and get a longer belt. Just an idea. definetly easier to just bite the bullet an get the HO, but, I still gotta find one that will fit into the factory bracket.

The isue with dual alts is the huge load to the engine in terms of lost horse power. As long as you do not mind the lost horse power, then I say the dual alt would be better.
