Still confused. Doing a dual sub setup with two ports combining in the middle of the box. So the port goes in and branches off to the left and right.

While figuring for that type of setup, is the port area the total combined?? and the volume?

also, is the center port width double what the back wall would be (after the ports go their seperate ways)

sorry, hung over:veryhapp:

Yeah, if you're doing two woofers with the sub in the middle, you'll have the width of the port all the way through. It'll start at the front of the box, go towards the rear and split off left and right(the same distance on each side) while staying the ports width from the rear wall.

You use the entire box's volume and just do the port from there.

Essentially you are building two separate boxes with the port combining in the middle. So if the middle port is 4" the ports that separate into the two boxes need to be 2". The port area doesnt matter how you calculate it, it is still the same.
