i took out my factory HU from up top and i took out my disc changer in front of my shifter and i put my new HU where the disc changer was, does anyone know if i can take my disc changer which was located below and move it up top to where the factory HU was?

How was the factory changer powered? Did it receive power directly from the OEM HU or was there dedicated power/ground just for the changer?

You may not be able to do anything with the factory changer without the factory HU...

yeah thats possible...my friend was telling me i may need an adapter to play the cd's through the headunit....i will have to look into the hole in my dash see if i can hook up the power....however i dont know how i would install it....where i would screw in the changer.......

Mounting the changer would be the easy part. Just use the brackets from the radio that was in the upper location. It definitely won't work with your aftermarket head unit, though; it probably won't power up without the factory head unit; and even if it did, it seems like a pretty cumbersome way to store six CDs.
