If it's sealed it won't make a difference at all as long as you make sure both sides are the same size. In fact it would help a little as the divider would act like a brace and keep the box from flexing too much. I wouldn't suggest doing it on a ported box, because not only do you have to make sure both sides are the same but also the ports and port length. Also, having to have 2 ports tuned to the same frequency may lead to the box being larger than you really need. Is it possible to do and have it sound good? Yes. But would be alot easier to have a common chamber for ported.
