dual alts/ 53 ford sedan

I can come up on a ford for right about 1000 bucks. I know that it runs at 12V, or less even, being that it is before they upped the voltage in cars. That's the problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I assume to run a h/o alternator i'd have to rewire the entire car and that'd keep me from doing it honestly lol.

Would it be more time/cash friendly to just run a dual alt setup using a stock to run the car and h/o for system? I'm thinking that it's going to be such a PITA that it's not gonna be worth it. Any opinions?

BTW if I go with it I really think I'd like the way a 18" BTL with strapped PA 3000's on each coil would look, box surrounded by amps.

Dont mess up that car with all that bass.

I bet that thing has a generator than runs on 6V.

Either way, you will need to upgrade the electrical if you put a stereo in there

yepper, kinda thought running a alternator for the stereo only could be worked out, but not really sure if that'd be doable either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif If not i'll just continue cutting the regal apart and let the ford go away.
