Dual Alpine Type R Amp recomendation

did i mention that the AudioPipe 1500 is only 165 new and shipped on ebay. seems to good to be true, but alot of guys seem to swear by them.

also thankyou for tryin to keep to the budget stuff, I know alot people on these types of forums really try to push noobs into bustin there wallets for some sick SQ when they just wanna bump a little !!

I deal with $800 - $1,000 budgets on a daily basis. I rarely get to work with anything really nice...

I like both, it just depends on the sub. Some subs are better suited to ported applications while others perform better sealed. It's a trade off everyone has to make.

so whats the best way to get a feel for the sound of each, besides going to bestbuy and pissing off employee by blaring some prefab shit. like in a car setting?

It really doesn't matter. $160 isn't a huge investment. Buy the Audiopipe amp and the Type R's if that's what you're leaning towards. You can always sell them when you want to upgrade to something more expensive...

The Type R's will work in both sealed and ported enclosures. If I bought them, I'd go ported...
