Dual 4 ohms

I went to an audio shop and they told me that an Alpine MRP-M50 couldn't be hooked up to a Dual 4 ohm speaker? They said that it would only work at Dual 2 ohms.......Is this true?

I thought so also........along with another installer I never heard of this amp not being 2 ohm stable but we'll see when I get off of work.

If you are talking about the Alpine MRP-M450 or M650 they can fun 2 and 4ohms..

I know there is an alpine model that only runs in 2ohm

Its the model right under the M450 http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13200 and it says that it can be run at 2 ohm or 4 ohm and its a dual 4 ohm sub........so it would be correct to run the wiring parallel for 2 ohms correct?

Yes run it in parallel for 2ohm

I'm not touching it..........because I paid the installers to do it and I'm going to let them do it. If I was going to have to go through all of this I could've did it myself.
