dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?

I'm considering a sub driver that is available in D2 or D4. The class d amp I'll be using will drive the same wattage into both. Would either be better than the other?
Thanks for help.
Technically wiring higher is supposed to yield lower distortion. Won't be audible unless you have exceptionally trained ear, and possibly not even then.

So what is the reason they are availabe in 2 and 4 ohm? Is it so they are campatible with the most common amps?

id get the D4. that way if you want to get another one in the future and a more powerful amp you can wire them down to 1 ohm. ***most*** mono blocks put out the most power at 1 ohm. this is just thinking ahead. right now, it doesnt matter which one you get.

They offer both so you can wire them at different ohm loads... a dual 4 can be wired at 2ohms and 8ohms... while a dual 2 can be wired to 1ohm or 4 ohms...
So, with d4 wired in series you get 8 ohms, and in parallel 2 ohms? Do I have that completely backward?

a helpful piece of info would be be to know what amp you have, what sub your looking at, and what the rms is on said sub
I have a pdx5 that I plan to hand down to wife's car. I'm considering the Elemental Designs e3.8 in a small enclosure made by self, for a clean stealth install with decent SQ. website says 200-400 rms.
