Dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm?

Wow....

you are not listening....

It all depends, on what your amp can do, and how many watts you are trying to achieve...

Lower impedance +watts> higher impedance...

Whats your amp? How many watts do you want to achieve?

Is it a 1 or a two channel amp?

Okay STOP, just STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget the Strokers. Until you actually learn something about car audio, that kind of equipment is way over your head. You're looking at running 4kW+ and you don't even understand how voice coils work. I can guarantee you have no idea what is involved in running that kind of power. First you have to buy the subs and the huge amp, which won't be cheap. Then you have to install a few deep cycle batteries and a High-output alternator. Then you have to replace your car's factory power wire with bigger cable (the Big 3 conversion). It's going to involve more time, energy, knowledge, and money than I think you are ready to commit.

Just start with a decent basic system right now. You will be pleased with the performance and it will be a lot less headache. You could easily bring in a decent system for under $1000 (including front speakers and all)

why do you think im on this forum then. obviously i know i have to do all that crap, im not THAT stupid. im trying to learn stuff and make sure im doing everything right, ive had basic crap systems for a while now, im done, i want good crap. if i ask every single question i need to know in one thread nobody is going to answer all of them. so why dont you stop bashing me, im getting sick of getting yelled at and called stupid in forums. im here for help, so stop yelling at me

When you're ready to buy an amp, you're going to want to get one that is 1ohm stable, I would reccomend looking at a Sundown SAZ-3000 which is 1ohm stable and can go down to .5ohms when needed, that in combination with the Big 3, and a beefed charging system should do you well.

Easy there buddy. I'm not yelling at you and calling you stupid. I'm just saying that there is a lot more to running a 4kW+ system than people think. I'm not telling you to get entry-level stuff either. You can get VERY nice stuff at reasonable prices. You don't need a competition-grade system to get loud. I don't know what you've had before, but you can build a very nice system that doesn't involve all the work and complications that your proposed system would.

Jus tell us what your goals are as far as performance and we can help you from there.

alright, im sorry i get it. i have bad experiences with forums and it always seems like i can never get any help, and people yell at me because i dont know what im doing, but i joined the forum to learn. so i guess i just assumed people here were the same.

but i get why you would say that, you are right, i dont know much. i plan on going to car audio school soon when i figure out everything and know most of the basics and some harder stuff.

so yea, i apologize for getting upset, just trying to get some help here, lol

i pretty much want the cerwin-vegas (or something close to it, because i hear from other people they arent good) and an amp close to the rms of the subs. thats what im looking for here. and how to wire it.

and i dont mind spending too too much. but the more money things are, the longer it will take me to get them, because i want to save up for it rather than grab all of my savings

thanks

space is kind of tight and i was kind of thinking of sticking with two twelves. and i listen to various types of music and feel the 15 would be too low for some of the music.
How 'low' a given driver can go is not determined by its diameter.
