Hey all new to the forum just started my upgrades on my 2000 Honda Insight (using the gas money I have saved with this baby). The 15 year old whizzer cones and tape deck sparked my interest in having a decent audio system in my car. Just got a new HU with more to follow. The Honda Insight has a 75A DC-DC Converter which converts 144V power from the high voltage battery to 12V for the rest of the car. Supposedly the car itself uses 40 amps leaving 35A to play with..

Fair enough, just figured more people would click on it than if I titled it Hello there! Yeah I was thinking about drawing from the dc/dc converter so I don't have to run a power wire from the battery all the way to the rear.
