Drop In subs

I have a 5 net cube @ 30hz box for my type R 12's. I'm looking for for 2 12's to drop in that will sound better and louder than the R's. Budget is $400. Amp does 1200 rms @ 1ohm. Or should I ditch this idea all along and get a Q 18 in a 6.5 net cube box ?

I like the type R's just want to try out something New. I dont know if 6.5 net cubes is enough for a 18 Q ported. I read here that they dont sound that good in sealed applications.

There website says to go between 6-10cuft. tuned to around 28hz. I def wouldn't get an 18 and then seal it.
