downfiring??

Hey guys, i gotta question. I have two 12 type R's in a custom built box tuned to 35hz my friend suggested i downfire it? what are the pro and cons of doing this? can someone help me out thanks

Downfiring works awesome in trucks just make sure you leave yourself enough room from the speakers to your floor. I had 2x 12" audiopulse revos downfiring and the sq was amazing. Give it a shot for sure it sounds much better than subs up port up..

ok awesome..how many inches do you suggest to be safe? i have an izusu i-280 ext. cab so i was gonna just clean out the area behind my seat and downfire it.

Leave at least 2-3" from where the woofer sits static and the floor.
