downfireing port question

i want to downfire my subs and i want the port to fire forward inbetween the two

this is the box cut in half and from the side

(the grey is the port...and yes theyll be the same length and area)

would the angle of the box to the loading board act like a semi horn or would it mess with tuning?

would it be better to go with the first one or with the second one just to be safe?

any other comments are welcome

uhh what?

if the port does not have the same face area for the entire length of the port, it will not have correct tuning (assuming you are tuning with a regular rectangular port)

my idea is kinda like if you took your box and cut it inhalf at that middle board and just used one side

does your port stop at the front of that board or does it use the whole box as a continuation of the port
