Dorm question

Having to go without a roommate is not so bad. Out of my group of friends, my roommate and I are the only ones who remain roommates this year. Just make sure you keep your door open and get to know everyone on the floor.

I would go back to the dorms if I could have my own room, really. Yeah I enjoy the food they cook there.

Anywho yeah, rule of thumb is, dont close your door unless you arent there or you are sleeping. There was a guy in our hall who lived alone and closed his door all day, yeah you can say he was the only guy in the hall who didn't get involved in things.

Anywho the moral of the story is I became better friends with people in other rooms rather than my roommates so yeah living alone should be something to celebrate IMO.

You wont have any of those nights when you stumble home drunk to find the door locked with a sock on it and have to find a couch to sleep on, or just pass out on the floor in the hallway, that was a fun night.

i think i missed out on the whole "dorm experince" cause everyone on my floor was a nerd... for the hall socials they always just wanted to eat pizza and play video games... (not that that cant be fun, but thats ALL they ever wanted to do)

i hung out alot over at my friends dorm on the other side of campus... jello shot nights every tuesday, smokin in the stairway, beer shotguns in the elevator, etc... LOL

wow im actually feeling a little better hearing that you all would enjoy having a single. only thing thats concerning me is the social aspect but hell ill just leave the door open like you guys.

I guess I am different. I actually enjoy being alone. Gives me time to read, study, etc. Plus, I am afraid the room mate people would steal from me. That is the main reason why I have never roomed on campus.

shut the hell up and stop *****ing. I didnt have a roommate the 2nd semester and it was ****ing sweet. Parties all the time, beerpong always at my place, awesomeness.

Just make good friends with other people on your floor and youll be chill, no worries. Invite people over to kickit n shit with your big room. Make a beerpong table and I GARUNTEE you will make friends.

leave your door open with a sign that says `beer pong here` and leave a empty signup sheet.

trust me, as long as you leave your door open and make it known people can party in your dorm, its allllllllllllll good.

Ugh, the dorms, great times great times. I cant express how much fun the dorms are, truely a key point in most college kids career. Kids who have never drank or smoked cigs/weed ever in their life. I wish I could do it all over again

You'll be fine just think all of your neighbors are just a door away. Oh yeah and dont close the door all day, unless you are a weird kid.

I went in on an apartment with one of my buddies my first year and now Im going in on a house with 4 other guys this year. I never understood why anyone would want to live in a dorm anyway....another guy sleeping in the same room as me? Hell no

yeah but at OU you have to live on campus for the first two years. plus i always heard that if you dont live on campus your first year you miss out on a lot.

at my school, you choose 3 dorms... i didn't get any of my choices. i'm stuck in a dorm that was built during WWII. didn't even get private baths, although it's not a problem, i just wish i would have gotten something that i wanted.
