Don't know anything about Ported Boxes,need one for 15" RE XXX

I have a 03 15" RE XXX and a Hifonics Brutius 1500d.

I want to build a ported box but don't really know anything about them,I know the lower you tune you can get better SQ but lose SPL. So I want to tune low like about 30 but don't know anything about ported boxes.I really don't want to go bigger than 3 or 3.5 cubes.

I was looking at ED's website and they have a recommended box size for the ED a tuned to 30 but I don't know if it would work for my XXX.

I want the effeciency to be high at low volumes so can somebody help me out.

im in the exact predicament as u,same amp,same sub(stb,needs to get made)and david(teampsi)recommend about 4-4.5 for daily at 32hz i believe.im gonna run mine at 6cube 34hz.the 12"xxx uses abnout 3.5 cube so the bigger the box you can use the better.dude i just ran some numbers through winisd and ur not gonna get a lot of port area in a 3.5 cube box.i got 20inches of port in 3.5^3box at 30hz.the port alone is 13.35..so u gotta have a at least 18inch high box.u sure u dont got more room?4.5cube@34hz"will sound LOUD"-david

where did u find the re xxx on winisd? i looked through that and the alfa version and they dont have any thing from RE...

did u put all the t/s parameters in your self? of just use a different driver and change the rms power?

my self, i can have a box only 16 inch high, so its going to be a sqeeze when i get the cash for my xxx

ya go for it,im tyler.i had a friend send me the file.IM me and i might be able to send it to u...i dunno how to exactly but ill try.or i can just design the box for u.i love that stuff.just tell me what u want.hit up aim though
