It;s not too bad, just a little bubble on the edge of it. Mainly soot over it. THANK GOD!

wtf...

did it burn up or is that how u got it back?
This is how I got it back, he set it in the heatsink and told me I'm screwed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Luckily he's paying for the REAL repairs now.

OMG, Thats thing is freaking toast.
Not totally, definitely salvageable.

what was your friends qualifications that led you to believe he could fix your amp? what type of amp is it?
He actually repairs computer boards, for laptops. I figured he'd be good enough with them boards he'd be able to figure this out. The amp is my Directed 1100D I got less than a week ago. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Everything looks fine to me.
Yeah, if it was supposed to look like it got manufactured in a charcoal factory. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What part of it was done before you gave it to him?
I'm pretty sure it was some FETs and a soldering joint.

It's all DONE.
X2!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I have already contacted them, like 5 minutes after I saw the board.

you bought the amp and it didnt work or you burnt it after installing it?
It had been repaired before, and was running strong for about 2 days, then I mounted it's actual stationary place, and I was turning down the volume on my head unit, and I didn't hear the low bass any more.
