i would say yes. ive actually owned one of these. some retard shot him a while back... really smart dogs. really hyper too... and i own a pit bull and had one in the past. some of the best dogs in the world IMO. mine are great around children. and the husky wolf mix... their awesome with kids... or atleast mine was.

i personally wouldnt trust any dog mixed with a wild animal(wolf) around my children.

according tot he breed standard for pits they are not large breed dogs. medium sized at best.

yea thats true all i really ment was a dog large enough you can actually play with and dont have that twitching feeling at the back of your neck that makes you want to punt it like a football everytime you see it.

I also owned a German Shephard/Huskey mix. Man did that dog love to run. I cant tell you how many hours I have spent chasing her down on foot or car, lol! She was an outside/inside dog. Thing is when we would usually leave we would tie her outside. Well when we went on a 1 day get away we didnt want to leave her outside. So we tied her up downstairs. Well she broke through her chain and tore up the door so bad to the basement that she actually got through it. Then she got into everything else in the house she could pretty much reach. My parents had close to 5g's worth of stuff tore up! Thing was she was such a good dog around us all the time. Dane's are awesome family dogs. The only draw backs is that the larger the dog the larger the vet bills and they have a relatively short life span. That and you'll have to buy the largest bed you can find.
