Does this work?

Hey so i was recently talked into ditching my rear speakers and just geting a nice set of components and a 2 channel amp to power em. I was wondering if there are amps i can get that are 4 channels where i can bridge 2 to mono to run a sub then the other two go to the components. if i can do that, what will sound better

two amps (1 mono for the sub and 1 2 channel for components)

or the 4-channel( 2chan bridged to sub and 2 for components)

sound better? no one can tell you that....can it be done? yes as long as the amp can handle the load you present to it.

ok if you cant tell me which ones gonna sound better at least tell me what will be cheaper. I mean i thought the 1 channel mono amps were specifically built for subs. so wouldnt that be the ideal setup?
